Discreet wood sets off ripe and decidedly sauvage-inflected aromas of both red and dark berries that display spicy top notes. There is excellent volume and a beguiling texture to the delicious and sappy large scaled flavors that flash good muscle and power on the serious, youthfully austere and well-balanced finale. This wine always ages well and the 2019 version should too.
